About the Author

Kim Patrick lives on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, with her four children.  She has a Certificate 3 in Education Support, Diploma in Christian Ministry and is currently working towards a Bachelor of Learning Management through the Central Queensland University.

Kim is a Parenting Mentor and Coach, seminar speaker, and author of “Get Your Child To Behave IN 30 Days Or Less”. She is also creator of the famous “Sleeping Angels” series for children, and is widely known in the community.

Over the past fifteen years while raising four children of her own, Kim has always found opportunity to work closely with children and has found herself in many varied roles over the years: dancing teacher, gymnastics instructor, fitness instructor for the disabled, swimming coach, Sunday School teacher, Kids’ Club leader. She has always gravitated towards children in a unique and special way.

Kim has enjoyed working with many “at risk” children and has a special passion for teenagers. As a young adult she would help teenagers who were running away from home by hiding them in the back shed, feeding them until she could talk them into returning home to their parents (yes, it’s absolutely true). She has had numerous letters of appreciation from very grateful parents and carers of children whom she has helped on their journey of life.

Now parenting by herself, Kim has an empathy for single parent families, as well as the “know how” for helping parents to help their children through the maze of divorce. She is living proof that children are capable of navigating these waters and coming out the other side emotionally whole. Her four children are aged 14, 13, 11 and 8. The eldest three are boys and the youngest is a girl.
